The New York Jets holds a unique record – this AFL team was the first to beat an NFL club in an AFL-NFL World Championship Game. But when the AFL and the NFL merged, the Jets joined the NFL. The current owner of this football team is Woody Johnson and they play at the Giants Stadium. New York Jets are however scheduled to move to the Meadowlands Stadium in 2010.
